Hi, Apperantly linux 3.0.3 is not supported by thinkpad module. >>> Emerging (1 of 51) app-laptop/thinkpad-5.9-r1 >>> Failed to emerge app-laptop/thinkpad-5.9-r1, Log file: >>> '/var/tmp/portage/app-laptop/thinkpad-5.9-r1/temp/build.log' * Package: app-laptop/thinkpad-5.9-r1 * Repository: gentoo * Maintainer: steev@gentoo.org mobile@gentoo.org * USE: elibc_glibc kernel_linux userland_GNU x86 * FEATURES: sandbox * Determining the location of the kernel source code * Found kernel source directory: * /usr/src/linux * Found sources for kernel version: * 3.0.3-gentoo * ERROR: app-laptop/thinkpad-5.9-r1 failed (setup phase): * Unsupported kernel version. * Is there a fix for this? The ebuild checks just for KV_MINOR 4 or 6, so 3.0.3 can't really work. The source of the package has just kernel 2.2 2.4 and 2.6 sources. What is the state of this modules? Regards, Kfir Reproducible: Always
I think I need to find someone else to possibly pick this up. I use ARM almost exclusively these days, and rarely open my Thinkpad, so I really don't know what the state is of these, or if they are even needed anymore on 3.x kernels.
I think this should be treecleaned per gentoo-dev ML discussion days ago
Why are you deleting this ?
Because it does not build and nobody maintains it?
