Hi,

osdb is the "Open Source Database Benchmark"

Currently it supports Informix, MySQL and PostgreSQL. I can't test the Informix part, because I don't have access to one.

I've chosen the unstable version of osdb, because it supports specifying
the host/user/password for connecting to the database server. Version 0.14 doesn't support it. I also have an ebuild for 0.14 but 0.15.1 works without
a problem for me.

osdb needs a set of datafiles to work. A 40 and a 4 MB package are available.
They're installed in /usr/share/osdb

A more up-to-date ebuild is in the postgresql/experimental overlay.

Closing upstream, if you want to stick this into official tree, do it. :) No need for this bug to sit open here for another couple of years.
