I can find an ebuild for 'resmgr' (homepage: http://rechner.lst.de/~okir/resmgr/). Please add this as soon as possible, so I can use my external (hotplug!) 1394-DVD-Burners. ;-)

K3B and cdrtools are able to use 'resmgr'.

Resmgr ebuild

First submitted ebuild, so doubtless there will be bugs. Examine carefully.
init and conf files to follow.

great! I will check it and give feedback as soon as possible!
Comment 5 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-12 12:55:12 UTC
oh, please, next time use the filename as the attachment comment. ;-)

resmgr-1.0.ebuild
resmgrd.confd
resmgrd.rc

And I will post a new, optimized resmgr-1.0.ebuild in about 1 or 2 hours.
Comment 6 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-12 14:27:23 UTC
ok, my new ebuild is ready. But before I post it, I try to emerge k3b again. It should find now the resmgr...

sorry for binary. But there're some extra files and this way it was much easier to have them together.

Please test it!

I still emerge k3b. So I post the results later...
Comment 10 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-12 15:58:53 UTC
YEAH! k3b works perfect!

we should now release resmgr first (btw: which group? sys-apps?), then we should extend the related ebuilds of k3b and cdrdao, cdrtools, etc.

as you can see here:

ftp://ftp.lst.de/pub/people/okir/resmgr/

there're some patches for some programs. In general, we should have a USE-flag for it: resmgr

Comment 11 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-15 09:44:57 UTC
and now? it's really working! please test my ebuild.
Comment 12 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-27 15:35:10 UTC
lanius is our k3b expert :) - I'll let him take this one.
Comment 13 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-11 07:10:11 UTC
ok, remind again. ;-)

my attachment "resmgr.tar.bz2" works perfect for me. please test it and put into portage ASAP. thanks!
Comment 14 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-03 01:49:08 UTC
maybe pylon can take a look at it?
Comment 15 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-03 07:14:28 UTC
> maybe pylon can take a look at it?

would be nice. since this BugZilla is very old and we have a solution now, we should import it into portage ASAP.
Comment 16 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-23 11:47:31 UTC
remind again.
Comment 17 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-04 16:41:46 UTC
huh? any chance to get this in?
Comment 18 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-21 18:35:03 UTC
Sorry. I still didn't tested and don't have the hardware for it. I think, I'll will just add the ebuild to portage. Could you keep me up to date for new versions?
Comment 19 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-22 11:43:26 UTC
> could you keep me up to date for new versions?

OF COURSE! ;-)

thanks.
Comment 20 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-28 12:06:15 UTC
still not in portage?
Comment 21 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-30 19:06:43 UTC
YEAH! Finally! It's in portage ;-)

Watch out for sys-apps/resmgr during your next sync :)
Comment 22 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-30 20:10:33 UTC
thanks! I will check it, when it arrives.
