Description Patrik Kullman 2002-06-17 05:45:36 UTC
if I emerge alsa-xmms, xmms wont start:

and xmms-aalsa doesn't merge:

Is this related to the alsa 0.5 -> 0.9 update? It seems they changed some
things in 0.9 (locations of files etc) that cause issues elsewhere as well...
Comment 2 Nick Hadaway 2002-07-05 18:53:47 UTC
xmms-aalsa is for alsa-0.5.x
alsa-xmms is for alsa-0.9.x

I am running the current alsa-0.9.0rc2 with no problems with this plugin.

If you are updated to the latest version of alsa *AND* your sound works
correctly otherwise *AND* the plugin still does not work, reopen this bug.
