The Maintaining X guide was last updated in 2007. An update would be good, with the following changes/additions:

1. Description of the xorg-2 instead of the x-modular eclass
2. A section on bumping, with x-modular-bumpchecker.py (from git.o.g.o/gentoo-bumpchecker.git)
3. A section on stabilization, with gen_archlist.py (from git.o.g.o/gnome.git)
