Description alexander j pierce 2004-01-12 10:45:12 UTC
I have an HP keyboard with all the fancy keys (Mail, Web, lock, etc) and have been using xbindkeys to assign these to various applications. I just moved from gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.0-r2 to gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.1 and these keys are no logner recognized. this is not like the move from 2.4.x to 2.6.x where they changed values, but there seems to be no event registered on keypress. I have made no other changes to the system.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Can you confirm this with vanilla 2.6.1?
Comment 2 alexander j pierce 2004-01-12 13:13:59 UTC
i have not, but i have verified that atkbd.c is the same in either set of sources. here is the error in question. this may actually represent a change on another level:

atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xa3 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xa3 on isa0060/serio0).

I cannot confirm with vanilla sources for another few hours due to processes running on this system

please try this with 2.6.1_rc3 or later (2.6.2 is in portage now)
this should solve your problem :)
