Description Kevan Carstensen 2011-08-08 16:20:32 UTC
There is an upstream patch to fix multihomed authentication with GSSAPI/Kerberos (issue 928, linked in the URL field), but it has not been integrated in the 6 years that the issue has been open. Could the gentoo openssh ebuild include the patch, at least until it is included upstream? We'd prefer not to have to apply it ourselves when upgrading openssh.

Thanks.

Reproducible: Always

Looks good from the kerberos side.

I'm only in metadata for HPN/LPK stuff.
That said, the patch looks good.

vapier: your call.

sounds like upstream openssh is OK with the idea, but is just being held back due to man power and/or people who care about the issue. also considering the patch in general looks straight forward, i'm fine with it.

only reservation is that it'll conflict with our existing x509/ldap/hpn code and so we'll need more glue :(. or move the patch into a section of config code which none of the others currently touch.
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2011-09-07 01:38:26 UTC
ive added the patch to 5.9p1
