I have a M4A89GTD-PRO/USB3 mainboard with a AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor, lm_sensors-3.3.0 and uname -a says: Linux caiman 3.0.0-gentoo #1 SMP Sat Jul 23 10:16:25 CEST 2011 x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux 'sensors' shows: k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +0.0°C (high = +70.0°C) (crit = +90.0°C, hyst = +85.0°C) atk0110-acpi-0 Adapter: ACPI interface Vcore Voltage: +1.20 V (min = +0.80 V, max = +1.60 V) +3.3V Voltage: +3.26 V (min = +2.97 V, max = +3.63 V) +5V Voltage: +5.10 V (min = +4.50 V, max = +5.50 V) +12V Voltage: +12.17 V (min = +10.20 V, max = +13.80 V) CPU Fan Speed: 4218 RPM (min = 600 RPM) Chassis Fan Speed: 0 RPM (min = 600 RPM) Chassis2 Fan Speed: 0 RPM (min = 600 RPM) Power Fan Speed: 0 RPM (min = 600 RPM) CPU Temperature: +45.0°C (high = +60.0°C, crit = +95.0°C) MB Temperature: +40.0°C (high = +45.0°C, crit = +75.0°C) it8721-isa-0290 Adapter: ISA adapter in0: +2.84 V (min = +0.92 V, max = +0.37 V) ALARM in1: +2.86 V (min = +0.66 V, max = +3.04 V) in2: +1.20 V (min = +0.74 V, max = +1.01 V) ALARM +3.3V: +3.26 V (min = +4.20 V, max = +5.78 V) ALARM in4: +2.33 V (min = +1.46 V, max = +1.04 V) ALARM in5: +0.12 V (min = +0.13 V, max = +0.64 V) ALARM in6: +0.58 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +2.08 V) 3VSB: +2.28 V (min = +0.38 V, max = +5.45 V) Vbat: +3.38 V fan1: 4218 RPM (min = 21 RPM) fan2: 0 RPM (min = 11 RPM) ALARM fan3: 0 RPM (min = 22 RPM) ALARM temp1: +45.0°C (low = +60.0°C, high = -69.0°C) ALARM sensor = thermistor temp2: +40.0°C (low = -69.0°C, high = +14.0°C) sensor = thermistor temp3: -128.0°C (low = -82.0°C, high = -26.0°C) sensor = disabled I find the "temp1: +0.0°C" belonging to k10temp-pci-00c3. Is there any explanation, can I get a real temperature. Reproducible: Always
AM2 Phenoms have a hardware erratum (319) that prevents the temperature sensor working properly. Can you post your dmesg?
