Just poking around Sourceforge, I'm seeing a lot of different bittorrent clients that have been ported from Windows. Although I haven't tried them, it would be nice to have some of the better clients in portage. There are literally tons of clients. If someone with the time and energy to do it could find the best of the best it would make things so much better than only having one client that offers little user control and a gui that is lacking imo.

I just added an ebuild for ctorrent. It is a pretty cool console bittorrent client that has an extremely small footprint. The bug number is #45092
as all the (working, standard, non-GPL-violating) bittorrent clients have now been added to portage (including gnome-bt), I'm going ahead and closing this bug.
