x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati-6.14.2: Slow image build-up when scrolling. E.g. in Firefox when scrolling down a webpage. ati-drivers don't have the problem.

It appears that your configuration contains some cruft. Try disabling vesafb and using kernel modesetting instead.

s/vesafb/radeonfb/

radeonfb is almost definitely your problem. Switch to kernel modesetting.

radeonfb would have no effect even if built into the kernel, because it ignores anything newer than r400/rs400.
