Created attachment 280831 [details] Build log I'm trying to emerge my ebuilds with Open Axiom: https://github.com/ip1981/ebuilds/tree/master/sci-mathematics/open-axiom If FEATURES contains sandbox SBCL fails with many many messages like: CORRUPTION WARNING in SBCL pid 8023(tid 46912511032096): Memory fault at 0 (pc=0x41d57c, sp=0x2aaaad8e71e8) The integrity of this image is possibly compromised. Continuing with fingers crossed. fatal error encountered in SBCL pid 8023(tid 46912511032096): Control stack exhausted Emerging with FEATURES="-sandbox" works fine. I have sys-apps/sandbox-2.4

This comes from an unofficial overlay called "x-myoverlay"
The bug is not about Open Axiom, it is about *SBCL in sandbox*.
What is your sbcl version? (emerge -pv sbcl)
(In reply to comment #4) > What is your sbcl version? (emerge -pv sbcl) dev-lisp/sbcl-1.0.45
I haven't seen something similar. I'm CCing someone who may know more. Mr. Grozin, have you ever encountered something like this before? @reporter: Please, next time when you upload build.logs etc. export LANG and/or LC_ALL to "C" before creating them. It's just that I can't read your localization output.
Well, the problem is related only to Open Axiom >= 1.4. But still, without sandbox Open Axiom (>= 1.4) emerged fine and with sandbox failed.
If you can still reproduce with current stable, 1.0.55-r1, bug 326217, please reopen the bug.

(In reply to Samuli Suominen from comment #8) > If you can still reproduce with current stable, 1.0.55-r1, bug 326217, > please reopen the bug. Yes, please re-open this bug. Neither sbcl-1.1.16 nor sbcl-1.1.17 can compile open-axiom-1.4.2 with similar errors.
