In certain circumstances (e.g. when returning from a (gnome-)screensaver that has been active for a while) Compiz will cause the root window to get focus, resulting in focus follows mouse behavior even though click to focus is selected. This can be fixed by explicitly focusing (clicking on) a window other than the one Compiz thinks is focused. Make sure you are running compiz and gnome-screensaver 2. Lock the screen 3. Bring up the password dialog by pressing a key or moving the mouse 4. Wait until the password dialog times out and disappears 5. Bring up the dialog again and unlock the screen Actual Results: Focus follows mouse behavior until fixed by focusing some other window. Expected Results: Normal window manager behavior.
It should be fixed in 0.8.8 which is in tree now
