These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild     UD] dev-db/mysql-3.23.57-r1 [4.0.16]

In the ebuild -->

DEPEND="=net-www/apache-2* =dev-db/mysql-3.23* >=sys-libs/zlib-1.1.4"

I have test mod_vdbh-1.0.2 with mysql 4, it's working fine.

Why mod_vdbh-1.0.2-r1 is not stable ?
