if you do emerge -pv snes9x, it doesn't list joystick as a USE flag, either the egamesconf needs the ability to add joystick to USE, or snes9x(and other games ebuilds) needs joystick added. Pat Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -pv snes9x 2. emerge snes9x 3. now snes9x is compiled without joystick(which is enabled by default in ./configure) Actual Results: snes9x compiled and works, but not with my joystick. Expected Results: said you need to add USE="joystick" to get joystick or compiled it in by default.
