Description Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-06 23:46:24 UTC
MasqMail is a mail server designed for hosts that do not have a permanent internet connection eg. a home network or a single host at home. It has special support for connections to different ISPs. It replaces sendmail or other MTAs such as qmail or exim.

Since version 0.0.10 it supports alias address expansion and can deliver to pipes.

MasqMail is released under the GPL license.

This is an ebuild for masqmail 0.2.20

I suggest classification net-mail/masqmail.
Comment 3 Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-21 05:54:00 UTC
Since net-mail category has expanded into mail-*, this should now go to mail-mta
Comment 4 Tom Martin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-06 14:16:43 UTC
Sorry, but MasqMail currently seems to be unmaintained and so any security exploits would come straight down to me. I also don't think there is a great deal of use for this package, and we are discouraged from adding unneeded packages into Portage.

Either way, thank you for your time :-)
