Attached is an updated ebuild for IBM iSeries Access for Linux. Like the tn5250 package, it allows you to connect to iSeries (or AS/400) systems. Also includes an ODBC driver to connect to iSeries. This ebuild is for version 5.2.0-1.3 of iSeries Access for Linux, released 17-Dec-2003. This is a version-update ebuild for the 5.2.0-1.1 ebuild in bug 37357. This is not free (speech) software and is distributed as binary only. Since it is not covered under an OSS license, I left the license blank. Contact me for the RPM file that can be installed with this ebuild (approx 2.5MB).

I emerged iseriesaccess-5.2.0.1.3 sucessfully but it's failing with a dependancy on libXm.so.3 I used the iSeriesAccess-5.2.0-1.3.i386.rpm from IBM's website. Looked for a version of openmotif for gentoo that would satisfy this dependancy but I couldn't find one. Just to warn ya I'm a total noob to gentoo and bugzilla.
not a s390 package
Need motif 2.2 for libXm.so.3, and 2.2 has been broken. Search other bugs for more info.
sorry seemant, no interest this time ;)
iSeriesAccess has a new version out ... any change on getting it in a ebuild and getting the necessary depends figured out and working?

hrm.. was searching for 'iseries' and found this rather old bug. reassigning to ppc64@g.o to get more attention.
well really just the x86 and ppc teams can act on this. As this seems to contain binary blobs for which there are no ppc64 version, there's not much to be done really.
as per comment #12: x86, ppc: if you want to add this package, then add it, else close this bug please.
wth? This bug is maintainer-wanted, nothing that arches can do wrt that.
