RichACLs are an implementation of NFSv4 ACLs for linux. The kernel patches have been proposed for mainline inclusion and are currently going through concept and source review iterations. In the mean time, it would be nice to include the patches into hardened-sources. infos: http://acl.bestbits.at/richacl/ http://sambaxp.org/fileadmin/user_upload/SambaXP2011-DATA/day2track1/richacls_xp2011_final.pdf thanks a lot!
Florian, two points: 1) If we were to include these, they should go into gentoo-sources which hardened-sources totally includes (except for one minor patch). 2) It would be better if you gave us commits from upstream's git repo. I would feel uncomfortable applying patches that have not been reviewed by that community and made it to their repo. You can search: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=summary for the commit sha's. Anyhow, I'll defer the final decision to Mike.

The most recent patches I could find are in this repo from 09/2010: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/agruen/linux-2.6-richacl.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/richacl-fullset parts of it should be included into the main tree pretty soon: https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/3/1/39
It is way too early for use to include these. They are only now being reviewed upstream. I'm closing this one for now.
