Here's what I found reviewing part 2 of the handbook. As before, these issue can all be questioned. 4.a - Partitions - 3 para < without losing backwards compatibility. > without losing backward compatibility. [This was submitted for part 1, "losing" was changed but "backwards" slipped through. Yes, that's paranoid :)] In the summary for Working with Gentoo < changing portage' behaviour > changing portage behaviour 2.c - Building or Prebuilt? - 1 para < between building the package, or using a prebuilt package. > between building the package, and using a prebuilt package. 2.c - Building or Prebuilt? - 4 para < the sourcecode of the packages are placed in /usr/portage/distfiles > the sourcecode of the packages is placed in /usr/portage/distfiles 2.c - Working with Dependencies - 4 para < To opposite of --nodeps is --onlydeps > The opposite of --nodeps is --onlydeps 2.c - Removing Software - 4 para < cfgpro : Another already installed package claims to own this file > cfgpro : This is a configuration file and will not be touched for safety [Yes, this is not grammar, but I think this is what portage does] 4.a - Protecting? - 1 para < This is of course very usefull > This is of course very useful 4.a - etc-update - 7 para < It is not usefull to elaborate > It is not useful to elaborate 5.d - Standard Functions - 3 para < is intelligent enough to fill these functions in herself > is intelligent enough to fill these functions by itself Thanks for the patience. Bye!
Thanks. I've updated all of them :) I've rewritten the cfgpro to """ <c>cfgpro</c> : This file is located inside a protected directory and will not be touched for safety """ It's not necessarily a configuration file, but it's located inside a protected directory.
