In the X11-overlay, media-libs/mesa-9999 with this configuration

USE="classic* egl gallium gles llvm openvg* shared-glapi%* -bindist -d3d -debug -motif -nptl* -pic (-selinux) -shared-dricore -wayland" VIDEO_CARDS="r600

Produces this error when running configure.
configure: error: cannot enable OpenVG without egl_gallium 

The solution is to use "--enable-gallium-egl" in ./configure options
