Starting qgit4 will result in an error message for me: === Error - QGit === An error occurred while executing command: git repo-config --get i18n.commitencoding Git says: WARNING: git repo-config is deprecated in favor of git config. So it seems that qgit should be updated to use the newer command. The Fedora changelog states that this should affect >=git-1.7.5. So I'd say include the fix unconditionally and adjust the dep.
