odd, can you emerge anything else?
I've just look at the ebuild, an the file was a binary one (I think it's related to a power shutdown when I was syncing the portage tree) I've deleted the ebuild, then synincing the portage tree again, and now python-2.3.3 is emerging. I think you could close this bug Thanks.
