Description Marcin Szamotulski 2011-06-27 15:01:03 UTC
After Xorg starts the computer freezes. After several minutes the login shows. (I use small window menager: dwm and small login menager as well).

My question is how can I on the fly ask openrc to not start xorg.

Reproducible: Always

Attach your dmesg output please.

To ask support questions, visit the Gentoo forums or the #gentoo IRC channel on freenode, or write to the gentoo-user mailing list for support.

Thanks,

Sorry for using Gentoo Bugzilla.
I managed to changed the grub kernel line to startup in runlevel 1. I downgraded to xorg-1.9.5 and recompiled the drivers (x11-drivers/xf86-input-synaptics and x11-drivers/xf86-input-evdev) and now everything works. Unfortunately I don't have dmesg from when xorg was freezing (sorry, but I really need working system now).

Best, and Thanks for answering!
Marcin

Is this still a bug? I resolve this as NEEDINFO. Feel free to reopen if you have something to report.
