For those of us using offlineimap, this feature is a big improvement and way easier because we can use Courier's Outbox feature rather than also setting up another package to handle offline SMTP queueing and sending. This feature causes Courier to automatically send any email showing up in an Outbox folder. That means if I use offlineimap, my next sync will both fetch my new mail and send anything I wrote while offline. I've asked that infra enable this feature on woodpecker so it will be directly useful to any Gentoo devs using mutt for offline/local email. This patch series is adapted for our current, patched mutt from the original at http://www.mail-archive.com/mutt-dev@mutt.org/msg04919.html.

BTW, the infra bug for Outbox on woodpecker is bug #373161
is this based on the 1.5.21-r3 patchset (http://prefix.gentooexperimental.org:8000/mutt-patches/)?
It applies clean on top of -r3 using the ebuild in my overlay.
no longer applies on 1.5.24
I don't have the time for maintaining these patches.
