Description Rainer 'Rei' Schuth 2011-06-23 16:51:32 UTC
When python 3.1 is used as default version, emerging glusterfs-3.2.0 fails configuring because it can only use python 2.*

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. eselect python set python3.1
2. emerge glusterfs
Actual Results:
checking if python is python 2.x... no
configure: error: only python 2.x is supported

Any news on this?
Comment 5 Ultrabug gentoo-dev 2011-07-12 08:41:11 UTC
Hi,

This matter needs the python eclass to be EAPI4 compatible so we can use it nicely to specify the python-2 requirement. Last time we asked we were told it was coming and decided to wait until it's done so we can handle this bug properly.

I'm setting a depend on this bug so we can track this better.
