After executing
/etc/init.d/ejabberd start
everything starts ok, but I got this message in logs:
I(<0.37.0>:ejabberd_app:72) : ejabberd 2.1.7 is started in the node ejabberd@localhost
and after
/etc/init.d/ejabberd stop:
I(<0.37.0>:ejabberd_app:89) : ejabberd 2.1.7 is stopped in the node ejabberd@localhost

I assume upstream forgot to update the version number in certain places

Thank you for report. Fixed in 2.1.9.
