Never saw this happen with any other package. It seems that eclean just doesn't see it (maybe incorrect parsing with the number in the package name). 1) Please post your `emerge --info' output too. 2) Does it do suggest cleaning that up if you specify --destructive (possibly with --pretend added so nothing is actually removed)?

I finally realized that kde-base/kdepim-l10n-4.4.11.1-r1 was requiring kde-l10n-ru-4.4.5.tar.bz2. Sorry.
