Lets get a few replacements and RMA the rest. OSL should let us keep a few drives on site.
Ok. :)
14:56 <@NeddySeagoon> -infra have a $1000 spares and repairs budget - so this need not come to us 14:57 <@dabbott> should be covered with the infra budget <snip> 14:57 <@robbat2> that's an infra item, not sure why darkside assigned to trustees It is assigned to trustees because the trustees have no good system to reimburse us after the purchase. Last time, I was involved with ordering something, Matthew ordered it and shipped it out because he didn't want to use paypal and it is rather annoying to be mailing around paper checks. If this status is changed, I would be more than happy to take trustees OUT of the loop!

If this > status is changed, I would be more than happy to take trustees OUT of the loop! That seems like a separate (and legitimate) issue. Perhaps we should log that as a new bug? Clearly replacing failed drives shouldn't be driven by a timeline to beef up the Foundation banking options...
Zerothly, I will order these today, I do not see an exact number, just a "few". How many do we need, 2, 3, 4, 5? Firstly, I used paper checks because it is easier for me to track that way, perhaps I should review Paypal to see if it would actually be easier. Secondly, I think what needs to happen here is simply for us to acquire a debit/credit card dedicated to infra. Towards that, I can easily setup a bank account to accommodate that, and put in the allocated budget for the year (minus what has been spent already). We could also procure some sort of pre-paid card for this as well, although I am less fond of this. In any case, let me know the number of drives ASAP, and I will order them immediately.
