The wallpaper

  "Larry on Redmond Hills"
  http://www.customize.org/wallpapers/37218

is based on a graphic known from Windows XP.

Author Matteo "Peach" Pescarin is willing to re-publish it as
CC-BY-SA including SVG sources but we worry of potential legal
issues and would like to know before

 - releasing it as Creative Commons, and

 - putting it onto Gentoo servers.

If you get a lawyer to think about it for Gentoo, that would be great.

I wish to add, as author, that the linked page will be removed as soon as I could, as I completely forgot that I had that account (as you can see made 6 years ago).
In case I'll manage to remove it, I'll be reuploading in a temporary position the file for review purpose.

Per trustees meeting 2011/06/19:
Gentoo will not host or link to this wallpaper due to concerns about being a derivative work of the Microsoft Bliss wallpaper. We don't want to get sued by Microsoft.
