I wonder where that /usr/lib64 comes from. Could you run: pkg-config --libs libxml-2.0 pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0 on your system and post the results here?
root@lynx:/root(2)# pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0 -pthread -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgio-2.0 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lcairo -lpng14 -lpango-1.0 -lfreetype -lfontconfig -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lrt -lglib-2.0 root@lynx:/root(3)# pkg-config --libs libxml-2.0 -lxml2 root@lynx:/root(4)# pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0 -pthread -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgio-2.0 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lcairo -lpng14 -lpango-1.0 -lfreetype -lfontconfig -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lrt -lglib-2.0 root@lynx:/root(5)#
Hmpf, everything OK. Anyway i redo the make patch to support optional gtk properly, could you sync your tree and try to compile it again? To confirm that you have the latest version (rsyncs take some time to grab it from cvs) the ebuild should contain BUILD_GUI=1 somewhere in it.
Hi Tomáš, I have now the new ebuild: root@lynx:/root(18)# grep BUILD_GUI /usr/portage/sci-geosciences/gpscorrelate/gpscorrelate-1.6.1.ebuild use gtk && opts+=" gpscorrelate-gui BUILD_GUI=1" And 'emerge gpscorrelate' fails with: root@lynx:/root(20)# emerge -vD gpscorrelate x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -c -o gui.o gui.c -march=nocona -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -I/usr/include/libxml2 -I/usr/include/exiv2 -pthread -DQT_SHARED -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/lib64/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr/include/cairo -I/usr/include/gdk-pixbuf-2.0 -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib64/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/pixman-1 -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/libpng14 -I/usr/include/qt4 -I/usr/include/qt4/QtGui -I/usr/include/libdrm -I/usr/include/qt4/QtCore xsltproc http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/xsl/current/manpages/docbook.xsl doc/gpscorrelate-manpage.xml gui.c: In function ‘SaveSettings’: gui.c:202:8: warning: ignoring return value of ‘fwrite’, declared with attribute warn_unused_result x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed main-command.o unixtime.o gpx-read.o correlate.o exif-gps.o /usr/lib64 -lxml2 -lm -lexiv2 -lstdc++ -pthread -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgio-2.0 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lcairo -lpng14 -lpango-1.0 -lfreetype -lfontconfig -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lrt -lglib-2.0 -o gpscorrelate Note: meta source : no *info/productname or alternative gpscorrelate Note: meta source : see http://docbook.sf.net/el/productname gpscorrelate Note: meta source : no refentry/refmeta/refmiscinfo@class=source gpscorrelate Note: meta source : see http://docbook.sf.net/el/refmiscinfo gpscorrelate Note: meta version: no *info/productnumber or alternative gpscorrelate Note: meta version: see http://docbook.sf.net/el/productnumber gpscorrelate Note: meta version: no refentry/refmeta/refmiscinfo@class=version gpscorrelate Note: meta version: see http://docbook.sf.net/el/refmiscinfo gpscorrelate Warn: meta source : no fallback for source, so inserted a fixme gpscorrelate Note: meta manual : no titled ancestor of refentry gpscorrelate Note: meta manual : no refentry/refmeta/refmiscinfo@class=manual gpscorrelate Note: meta manual : see http://docbook.sf.net/el/refmiscinfo gpscorrelate Warn: meta manual : no fallback for manual, so inserted a fixme gpscorrelate Warn: AUTHOR sect.: no personblurb|contrib for Stefano Zacchiroli gpscorrelate Note: AUTHOR sect.: see see http://docbook.sf.net/el/contrib gpscorrelate Note: AUTHOR sect.: see see http://docbook.sf.net/el/personblurb gpscorrelate Note: Writing gpscorrelate.1 /usr/lib64: file not recognized: Is a directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status It happens at least on two systems. The command + variables it uses: $(CXX) $(LDFLAGS) $(COBJS) $(CLIBS) -o $@ CFLAGS += $(shell pkg-config --cflags libxml-2.0) -I/usr/include/exiv2 CXXFLAGS += $(shell pkg-config --cflags libxml-2.0) -I/usr/include/exiv2 CLIBS += $(shell pkg-config --libs libxml-2.0) -lm -lexiv2 -lstdc++ ifdef BUILD_GUI CXXFLAGS += $(shell pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0) CFLAGS += $(shell pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0) CLIBS += $(shell pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0) endif COBJS = main-command.o unixtime.o gpx-read.o correlate.o exif-gps.o Wonder what could polute the variables this way so there shows the /usr/lib64/.
If we cut your command apart: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed main-command.o unixtime.o gpx-read.o correlate.o exif-gps.o /usr/lib64 -lxml2 -lm -lexiv2 -lstdc++ -pthread -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgio-2.0 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lcairo -lpng14 -lpango-1.0 -lfreetype -lfontconfig -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lrt -lglib-2.0 -o gpscorrelate COBJS = main-command.o unixtime.o gpx-read.o correlate.o exif-gps.o CXX = x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++ LDFLAGS = -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed CLIBS = -lxml2 -lm -lexiv2 -lstdc++ -pthread -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgio-2.0 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lcairo -lpng14 -lpango-1.0 -lfreetype -lfontconfig -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lrt -lglib-2.0 $@ = gpscorrelate UNKNOWN = /usr/lib64
Could you try to edit files/gpscorrelate-1.6.1-makefile.patch and on the line 15 remove the + char so it looks like and retry? +CLIBS = $(shell pkg-config --libs libxml-2.0) -lm -lexiv2 -lstdc++
Hi Tomáš, the patch worked for me. Thank you.
Commited to main tree. Thanks for report and help finding the issue.
