Well, I've tried to emerge it.. Here is thr result:

P.S. The name of the file on the site is different:
LeakTracer.tar.gz. The version is now 2.4. I'd really like to try it on Sparc

I added the new (2.4) version to portage. Unfortunatelly I had to remove ebuild for 2.3, cauz the maintainer doesn't seem to keep older versions on his web site. To prevent this from happenning in the future I uploaded the (repackaged) tarball to gentoo mirror. Plz note, that it will take some time till the new file propagates to the mirrors.
