http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/sponsors.xml The page reads University of Virginia hosts quite a few Alpha boxes used by the Gentoo/Alpha developers for building new Gentoo releases as well as daily work such as keyword testing and security bumps. This used to be the case, evidently, but hasn't for some number of years. I emailed former developers and was finally put in contact with Scott Ruffner at UVA more than a year ago. He said: """ There has not - aside from [one person who is no longer at UVA] - been any real interest in our dept. around Gentoo, much less Gentoo on Alpha. I attempted to contact someone at the gentoo project a bit over two years ago about this, and were never able to get direct answers - aside from a few cryptic demands that we not touch "their" machines - about a timeline for phasing out support. We will not be supporting this. """ So, nothing at UVA anymore. Please remove the text about UVA from the sponsors.xml page.
Fixed in CVS.
Cool. Thanks. I see that all the other languages' sponsors.xml pages need updating as well, namely {de,pl,ru,he,it,es}. I'll reopen the bug on the assumption that we can recycle this bug for whoever it needs to be assigned to.
nightmorph: Please re-add UVA, and move them down to the 'Past sponsors' section.
Didn't see that section. Fixed.
