esammer announced his retirement on -core today
(In reply to comment #3) > esammer announced his retirement on -core today Excerpt from his retirement mail: It's not without a certain degree of sadness that I add myself to the list of those recently retired. I'm quite sure that 99.9% of people here don't know who I am, proving that it's probably time. I think I felt as if the fight-to-progress ratio fell out of whack with the projects I was involved in. Without the fight, some of those projects went in a direction that I don't necessarily think is positive. While I feel like I tried to correct that as best as I could, I don't think I succeeded. At some point I tried to come back to work on the dev-perl part of the tree and help mcummings et al, but no could tell me what was going on with my new ssh key (something about too many users on the machine, moving to ldap, "it will get worked out soon," etc.) and it simply never worked and, for better or worse, I wasn't prepared to fight to come back. I wish I could have helped to at least maintain dev-perl again. Thanks to all. I will miss being part of Gentoo, truly.
