The 2.4.6 bugfix release of app-office/gnucash occurred a few days ago:

The upstream bug #644897, amongst other things, is fixed, so the 

epatch "${FILESDIR}/${PN}-2.4.5-link-system-libs.patch" 

line in the 2.4.5 ebuild is now redundant.

A simple rename of the 2.4.5 ebuild (commenting out the above referred-to patch) to 2.4.6 is sufficient on ~amd64 and ~x86 for 2.4.6 to emerge OK, and the installed results are running OK for me.
