I use KDE 4.6 any Wacom Intuos 3 Graphics tablet, x11-drivers/xf86-input-wacom-0.11.0 (cause wacomtablet-1.3.1 depends on it) and intree kernel wacom driver. I've also tried sys-kernel/linuxwacom-module , but without any success.

When I just open wacomtablet module in KControl, pen in absolute mode begin to work incorrectly. Most of interface elements don't respond on clicking on them. For example: I'm writing this in chromium, I can switch between chromium tabs, but I can't use any of minimize\maximize\restore buttons. Also I can't open Lancelot menu, switch between desktop using panel applet and so on.

When I press apply button KControl independ of changes I've made, mouse from my tablet begin to work incorrectly: when I move it without interrupt, cursor moves to the fixed length (fixed and rather small amount of pixels). To move it further I have to take it from active field of tablet and return back.

removing ~/.kde4/share/config/tabletprofilesrc fixes the issue

Sorry, I dont fully understand... is there still something to be fixed?

I'll try to reproduce the problem on my Intuos, give me a few days.

Sorry for my bad not understandable english :(

When we remove tabletprofilesrc everything works ok, but all tablet settings restored to defaults. But meaning of wacomtablet is changing default setting, isn't it?

Author of wacomtablet module said that it's driver bug and workaround is so:

------------
If you can use your pen tip does not work anymore (new driver and one of the new Pen and Touch Tablets)
This is a driver bug

There is a "workaround" for now. As soon as you finished with all your settings open the file
$HOME/.kde/share/config/tabletprofilesrc

and remove the lines with Button1=1

Afterwards everything should work again
------------

But I still have problem with mouse described in the first comment :(

both issues are fixed in wacomtablet-1.3.3
