Description Christopher Robin Elmersson 2011-05-27 06:12:09 UTC
After updating gnome-overlay last night I nolonger can connect to a wlan, except if it is open (no password).

.xsession-errors:
Window manager warning: Log level 16: _nm_object_array_demarshal: couldn't create object for /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/7
Window manager warning: Log level 16: Error in getting active connection 'Vpn' property: (19) Method "Get" with signature "ss" on interface "org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties" doesn't exist

May 27 08:05:09 alice NetworkManager[3055]: <info> Activation (wlan1/wireless): access point 'Auto matrix' has security, but secrets are required.
May 27 08:05:09 alice NetworkManager[3055]: <info> (wlan1): device state change: config -> need-auth (reason 'none') [50 60 0]
May 27 08:05:09 alice NetworkManager[3055]: <info> Activation (wlan1) Stage 2 of 5 (Device Configure) complete.
May 27 08:05:09 alice NetworkManager[3055]: <warn> No agents were available for this request.
May 27 08:05:09 alice NetworkManager[3055]: <info> (wlan1): device state change: need-auth -> failed (reason 'no-secrets') [60 120 7]

However, running nm-connection-editor and setting the password makes it work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Gnome 3
2. Try to connect to wlan
Actual Results:
It silently fails

Expected Results:
A connection!

this is a known problem that appears to be cause by gnome-keyring-3.0.2, will bump to 3.0.3 asap.

That did the trick!
