Please consider the stabilization of gentoo-sources-2.6.38-r6 and
vanilla-sources-2.6.38.7. No wide ranging issues have been identified that
affect this kernel version at this time.

It seems not have problem on amd64. I use it also on my x86 machine and it works.

Just curious, how come x86 didn't get stabilized, despite Pawal's report?

ppc stable for me (using an ibook G4 cpu pwerpc 7450 ) on a gentoo-ppc with everything up to date.
