Please see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=652590 It will be great if either we pulled to latest code or at least pulled that patch in. The display corruption is very obvious by just moving the windows around. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Move the konsole window 2. 3. Actual Results: Corruption artifacts in the window area Expected Results: No corruption artifacts.

i create a patched ebuild from this: http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-devel/2011-May/022245.html hope it helps.
We already have a newer version stable...(not on ppc64, though)
Unfortunately, upstream haven't included that patch for some reason and I still see corrupt display for GUI programs like gvim.
This patch is already applied in the versions that use xorg-server-1.12(i.e, all the ones in the tree). Following with fedora/RH's bugzilla, seems like there are some issues with some WMs(i can reproduce with fluxbox). I'll keep on eye on what decision they make.
See comment at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734424#c12 Gentoo needs to move to a revision after 4941 to get the fix. I think 1.2.0 does not have it.
tigervnc-1.2.80-svn5065 is in the tree
