In one machine I forgt to set splitdebug in my make.conf features and I was getting all kind of errors in every emerge I tried, the errors where different, but nothing could be emerged, after rechecking the guide, and setting splitdebug, everything was fine. The sentence "just changing your CFLAGS and re-emerging world won't give you meaningful backtraces anyway, as you have to solve the stripping problem." implies that you still can do a normal emerge, but if you have any problem, you won't get any special debug, but the situation is tha you can not emerge anything. I tried with the following packages: zlib, nano, bzip2, expat, which, zip. Do not that FEATURES=splitdebug is only /necessary/ when you do /not/ set FEATURES=nostrip. The document has a specially formatted note about that. Suggestions for improvement are of course welcome.
Eh? "All kind of errors"? If you don't provide example of any, I really can't help you at all. Please provide some detail, otherwise I don't think I can help you in any way.
Hi I solved my own problems as I mentioned before with the steps I mentioned, but just to give you more details, I'll remove the splitdebug and try to compile a few things an send reports. Bye

After the original report, I changed the cflags, today I discovered that if I use the new set of cflags (the commented ones), with the uncommented features, everything works fine, but if I use the same set of cflags that I used the day of the report, with the uncommented features the errors are there again. If you checked config.log as the build log shows, you'd have seen the problem yourself: CFLAGS="-march=native -msse4 -mpopcnt -msahf -O2 -pipe -ggbd" ^^^^^ You typoed the flag, it's -ggdb not -ggbd :)
