Description Peter Gracar 2003-12-30 05:45:56 UTC
On my first Gentoo install (2.4.20 kernel, OSS sound) this did not happen. Now, with a 2.6 kernel using the built in ALSA sound I get the issue. The movies start out nicely, but after about 15 seconds they stop, and start stuttering (1 frame per second, sound jumps...).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to watch a movie with mplayerplug-in
2. Using (possibly) alsa and 2.6.0 kernel
3.

Actual Results:
Movie starts stuttering after 15seconds.

Expected Results:
Movie should play normaly till the end.

Can you try and see whether you get this with OSS sound? Can we also have ``emerge info'', and your mplayer version. Also, try upgrading ``libsdl'' and see if that might help.

I'll post later after I tested OSS sound and the new libsdl.

With OSS it does the same, but later.
I'm using the latest unmasked mplayer and mplayerplug-in. The issue happens with the newest (masked) ones as well.
My libsdl is the latest (masked or unmasked)

could you try 1.1 ?
Comment 5 Peter Gracar 2004-01-17 15:12:23 UTC
You can list it as FIXED. Looks like the URL is a lone case. On other sites, the plugin works ok.
