Description Marcus Becker 2011-05-18 20:42:55 UTC
if you have downloads with corrupted gzip headers the download downloads gets interrupted, where other browsers can handle it fine.
Best example isohunt.com
I could reproduce it up to version www-client/chromium-12.0.742.53

www-client/chromium-11.0.696.68 works fine

bug on code.google.com:
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=79694
discussion in the support forum:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=3a211e941cf350a9&hl=en

It seems to be stalled there... not sure if this should be ignored, at least I thought I should let you know :)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.use >=www-client/chromium-12.0.742.21
2.download any torrent from isohunt.com
Actual Results:
download is interrupted

Expected Results:
download

Confirmed with 13.0.767.1. Should probably just be closed as UPSTREAM, but I'll let a dev do that.

Yeah, this is definitely an upstream issue.

1) Not Gentoo-specific.
2) Too complicated to fix by a locally-applied patch.
