After I run 'pcmanfm -d' (-d = --daemon-mode) 'pcmanfm' command does not open app's window. Directory argument is required. This breaks LXDE session somehow: LXDE users are affected, ones who have 'pcmanfm' with '-d' in their /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart (or $HOME/* equivalent) - which seems to be default on Gentoo (it comes from lxde-base/lxde-common). Such LXDE users are not able to open any PCManFM window by clicking on an icon until they kill pcmanfm process. upstream notified here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3302391&group_id=156956&atid=801864 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run pcmanfm -d 2. run pcmanfm 3. Actual Results: no window is shown Expected Results: PCManFM window appears x11-misc/pcmanfm-0.9.9_pre20110422 x11-libs/libfm-0.1.15_pre20110422 confirmed on pcmanfm from git on Arch Linux.
Created attachment 273567 [details, diff] lxde-common-0.5.0-r1.ebuild patch with hot fix This is a workaround to make LXDE users happy.
Created attachment 273577 [details, diff] patch on file 'autostart' this changes the file /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart this file is treated with a patch lxde-common-0.5.0-desktop-icons.patch from filesdir, but instead of removing that one and merging the two patches to modify this file I've added another patch - if you decide to use it, it would be easier to apply only for ~arch users if you want to do so, keeping old for "arch"ers ;P.
I confirm this problem and causes problems to openbox as well
This should be fixed on 0.5.0-r2. Thanks for reporting
