Description Steve Barnhart 2003-12-29 13:29:40 UTC
As being a dialup user, I would really appreciate a type of scheduler to be implemented into portage so I could queue up a bunch of emerge installs I would like to do and go to bed. That would be a wonderful addition and I hope that the Gentoo developer team could think about it. Thanks for all your work and a wonderful distribution!

Is there some reason why "emerge <package1> <package2> <package3>".. etc.. isn't a valid solution to "queue up a bunch of emerge installs"?
If you need it to be executed at a specific time, use atd or cron.

Hope that helps.

and if your concern is to d/l them all at first and then compile, then you have Bug 1661
