Known problem, I have been hit by it as well...

I've also noticed /tmp filling up mysteriously. reset kded4, and they go away. Presumably these are unlinked temporary files, but it takes a long uptime on KDE for this to manifest.
Comment 3 Alex Boag-Munroe 2011-05-26 06:59:23 UTC
Just to mention this bug occurred for me with kdelibs-4.6.3-r1 after mounting a USB hard drive.
Comment 4 Emmanuel Vasilakis 2011-05-26 09:00:31 UTC
Same here, it might happen when I plug a usb drive, but it did occur on other occasions too.
Comment 5 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-08-01 22:29:38 UTC
Could you please try kde-4.7.0?
Comment 6 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-08-27 20:40:55 UTC
Anyone with kde-4.6.5 or kde-4.7.0 still seeing this?
Comment 7 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-09-22 21:15:42 UTC
No reply for a while and upstream seems to have resolved things around 4.7.1
