Known problem, I have been hit by it as well...

Just to mention this bug occurred for me with kdelibs-4.6.3-r1 after mounting a USB hard drive.
Same here, it might happen when I plug a usb drive, but it did occur on other occasions too.
Could you please try kde-4.7.0?
Anyone with kde-4.6.5 or kde-4.7.0 still seeing this?
No reply for a while and upstream seems to have resolved things around 4.7.1
