Created attachment 272811 [details] emerge --info, emerge --pkv and two emerge log files Attempt to build nvidia sdk on parallel failed: Fatal error: can't create obj/x86_64/release/main.cpp.o: No such file or directory Building with MAKEOPTS='-j1' succeeded. I enclose output of emerge -pqv ..., emerge --info ..., and failed and successful emerge log. I packed the 4 files together because bugtracker does not allow me to post more than 1 file. File names are self-explanatory. Steps to reproduce error: 1. Use idle multi-processor system (mine was 12-core) 2. MAKEOPTS='--jobs --load-average=36' USE='cuda examples' emerge dev-util/nvidia-cuda-sdk-3.2 Result: multiple errors, first error reproduced above
Could you please check if this is still a problem with nvidia-cuda-sdk-4.0?
(In reply to comment #1) > Could you please check if this is still a problem with nvidia-cuda-sdk-4.0? no error on 4-proc AMD. Will test on 12-proc Intel, expect result in approximately 50 hours

No problem on 12-proc core i7, whose specs are in comment no. 3
