apsfilter is masked (missing keyword) for amd64. I downloaded apsfilter-7.2.8 from http://www.apsfilter.org[*], installed it into /usr/local/bin, connected it up to ghostscript and LPRng, and it simply worked, without any problems, on my amd64 Gentoo box. I have no reason to doubt 7.2.6 would work just as well (modulo improvement between the releases). [*] Lacking the courage to use a masked package. The documentation and setup for apsfilter is simply gorgeous. Could you please unmask apsfilter for amd64. Thanks! -- Alan Mackenzie (Nuremberg, Germany). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download and install apsfilter. Configure it to talk to ghostscript. Hook it up to a print spooler (e.g. LPRng) 2. lpr filename.pdf. 3. Execute a print operation from within, e.g., Firefox. Actual Results: All print operations print as desired. Expected Results: As above
Done, thanks. (Version 7.2.7. Given the difference between 7.2.7 and 7.2.8 I kind of refuse that one... :)
