media-video/mplayer2-9999 fails because, upstream dropped XvMC support.
Regarding upstream commit:

So, ebuild dies with this error:
Unknown parameter: --disable-xvmc
 * ERROR: media-video/mplayer2-9999 failed (configure phase):
 *   (no error message)
