media-libs/libao-0.8.4 emerged well some month ago. I'm USE -esd in make.conf.

do you have esound installed in your system or not?

okay, updated -r1 with a new patch for configure{.in}  as this should fix the error.

please resync and it should be gone

Yes, esound is installed at my box. The new ebuild is not in portage yet, so i'll come back to here if the problem still exist...
