Please, give version net-irc/kvirc-4.2_pre5816 back to portage. Others are crashed with segmentation fault on amd64.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
$ kvirc4
Segmentation fault

4.2_pre5816 still is in the tree.

Did I say 4.2_pre5816? I mean net-irc/kvirc-4.2_pre5206.
Sorry, for bad copypaste. After net-irc/kvirc-4.2_pre5206 all versions give me a segmentation fault after compilation.

Please try net-irc/kvirc-9999 and report your problem (with revision number, versions of dependencies, backtrace etc.) to upstream:

I talked with upstream devs

and it looks like that this problem doesn't occur with disabled memory profiling:
