Description Preston Crow 2003-12-27 09:09:01 UTC
In section 12 under "Firewalls" it references /etc/init.d/firewall, but it does not mention what package that script comes from. (I've emerged iptables, and it's not there, and I'm assuming it's a bug in the documentation, not the package.)
Comment 1 Benny Chuang (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-27 10:17:42 UTC
the script is in the doc
 Code listing 12.5: /etc/init.d/firewall
Comment 2 Preston Crow 2003-12-27 11:25:43 UTC
Yes, the script is in the doc, but isn't it also part of some package? Everything else in /etc/init.d is part of some package. If the intention is to cut-and-paste from the documentation, then that should be made clear. (And if that is the intention, it should be made part of a package to make that unnecessary.)

Ahh. I reread the whole thing and it makes sense now. Sorry for bothering everyone.
