ftp.proxy is a simple ftpd forwarding server for inetd, this ebuild is rather simple and should be ready to be added into portage under net-ftp.

Reproducible: Always

Ebuild for ftpproxy-1.2.1

Untar into /usr/local/portage, setup PORTDIR_OVERLAY in make.conf and emerge
ftpproxy.

Will install config file into /etc/xinetd.d/ftpd-tcp, server is disabled by
default and will require setting disable = no and changing server_args to the
server you wish to proxy to.

Hi,

Sorry - we can't accept your ebuild at the moment.

We can only accept ebuilds that the Gentoo developers can actively
support and maintain. Unfortunately, we currently don't have a Gentoo
developer who is willing to take on this ebuild.

If you really want to see your ebuild become part of Gentoo, then the
best way is to become a Gentoo volunteer yourself. You can volunteer
by sending an email to recruiters@gentoo.org, quoting this bug's
ID number as a reference.

Best regards,
Stu
